Before opening (until Dec 1, 2025): Your donations help us furnish the café with everything from cutlery and plates to bookshelves and a coffee machine — making the space warm and welcoming from day one.
After opening: Every contribution goes directly into training and mentoring underprivileged young people, giving them access to education, skills, and real career opportunities.
Social Engagement – Helping Where Help Is Needed
Our social engagement follows a simple principle: We want to help where support is truly needed. That is why each month, we dedicate part of the proceeds from Aris Café to social projects and direct support for people in the surrounding communities.
To understand where we can make the greatest difference, the Khmer Bloom team regularly visits villages and local communities. We speak with families, schools and local representatives, listen to their needs and try to understand what is truly missing. Because making a difference does not always require large projects.
Sometimes, it is the simplest things that matter. Schools receiving little or no government support may lack toys for children to enjoy during their breaks, English books for lessons or a screen to create new learning opportunities. When we see that we can make a meaningful difference with such resources, we aim to provide support directly and without unnecessary complexity.
Supporting families who do not have enough food or have very limited opportunities to improve their situation independently is particularly important to us. When we learn about a family facing such difficulties, our team visits them personally. Together, we try to understand what kind of support could make the greatest difference in the long term. This may mean providing food in an immediate emergency – but sometimes a cow or a small number of chickens can help a family build a more sustainable livelihood.
We do not simply want to give things away. We want to understand, listen and find solutions together that create lasting impact. That is why every form of support is carefully assessed by our local team, personally accompanied and, wherever possible, followed up over time.
In this way, Khmer Bloom connects the economic activity of Aris Café with a direct social contribution to the people in the region. Every success of the café gives us the opportunity to give something back – exactly where it is needed most.

December 2025 / January 2026 - Our team steps in where help is needed most.
During the border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia, the Aris team went directly to reception centers to support people who had been forced to flee, bringing drinking water and, most importantly, many helping hands.
We believe in taking action where it truly matters. We don’t just talk about support, we show up. Every donation goes exactly where it is needed, directly and responsibly. On the pictures you can see Sreypov and Daniel from our team.

Khmer Bloom is an officially registered non-profit association based in Sursee, Switzerland. Our work is confirmed by official certification, and your donations are tax-deductible. Transparency and trust are essential to us – that’s why every contribution is used directly to create opportunities for young people in Cambodia to access education, training, employment, and a self-determined future.

If you provide us with payment or bank details when making a donation, please note the following:
Purpose of data use
Your information will be used exclusively for processing your donation and for legally required documentation (e.g. donation receipts, accounting).
Access to your data
Only authorized individuals within our organization have access to your data. We do not share your information with third parties unless required by law.
Data retention
Your data will be stored only as long as necessary to meet legal and financial record-keeping obligations. After this period, it will be securely deleted.
